“40 seconds!” The three behind Light fell in a neat row. “Light… why…” A tear slipped out of Matsuda’s eye and joined the still gathering rainwater as his heart stopped. “Why? Because, Matsuda.” Light looked up at the lightning still flashing outside and laughed maniacally. “I am Kira.”
He turned to Near and smirked. “So… Near. How does death feel?” The younger boy looked around at all the dead bodies around him and shivered. “Oh… what’s wrong, Near? Afraid to die? You should be proud of yourself for getting even this far against me. But the fight is over now, and I am the victor.” “L… I’m sorry, I failed you… I couldn't... win.“
Near’s fingernails dug into his shirt as he felt the heart attack hit. His body fell slowly, as if time had ground to a halt around he and Light. He hit the ground and lay face down in a puddle of water, his bright white hair matted to his face. Near lifted his head and looked at Light one last time, and a slight sadness shone in his eyes as all life drained from him and he ceased to move.
Light laughed again as he surveyed the room. “Mikami. I am impressed.” “Yes, God! Thank you!” Mikami kneeled at Light’s feet. “No… get on your feet. You do not need to kneel before me, you have done well today.” Light’s auburn eyes gazed into Mikami’s. “Teru… you have become an Angel of Death. You’ve served me well these past few weeks. Do you accept your position in the new world?” “I want nothing more than to continue to serve you, God.”
“Please Teru… I call you by your name, you call me by mine. Let‘s celebrate this victory and begin anew.” A warm and inviting smile came from Light, something rarely seen. “U-um… al-alright… I’ll stand by your side… L-Light.” “There’s no need to be so nervous. Today is a new beginning. You should be happy.”
Light reached his hand out to Mikami. “Come Mikami. It’s time. The new world begins today.” “Yes.” Mikami took Light’s hand and stood up. The two looked around one last time before heading to the door. “Now… let them burn.” Mikami nodded and struck a match, throwing it into the center of the dead.
They observed the fire for a while before eventually closing the rusty door behind them. “Together, with those who support me… we will cleanse this world of all its remaining filth.” “Yes, I will do as you command, God.” The two walked along the docks, leaving the burning building in their wake. By the time the firefighters get here everything will be burned to cinders. There will be no bodies left to find. Even if they did, we have the note. There’s no evidence to pin on anyone, they will close the case quickly.
“Everyone who opposes me is now gone. It is indeed a happy day. Now… I can finally be free. No worrying about making a wrong move. The whole world supports Kira.” “Even if they don’t, they will not dare say it.” “I will find all of my true supporters eventually, pretenders will not last long. And those who are found to still oppose…” Light glanced back at the burning warehouse. “…will die.”
“Yes, God. I regret that Miss Takada had to die… she truly did support you. But I do understand that it was necessary.” “And knowing is half the battle, Teru.” Light laughed lightly. The warehouse roof collapsed with a loud crash and he smirked. “The next straggler we’ll take care of is Misa. She has been around to annoy me for longer than I can remember, and she is just going to be in the way. She is lucky that I needed her or I would have done it long ago. But now, I no longer have a use for her. You have the eyes as well. But for now… there’s something else I need to do.”
Light took out his cell phone and dialed a number rapidly. “I have finished everything. I’ll see you shortly.” “Hai.” Light hit the ‘end’ button on the phone and dialed another number. “Hello, Hanoi Bus line? When is the bus returning to the wharf? …In about 5 minutes, you say? Thank you very much.” He nodded to Mikami and they headed to the bus station. “Where exactly are we going?”
“An apartment in Osaka. We’re going to see an old friend of mine that’s been staying there.” “Who is this friend?” “You’ll see when we get there.” Mikami nodded silently and looked out the window. The bus ride didn’t take very long, it seemed as though the scenery all rushed by in the blink of an eye. Light led Mikami to the apartment and knocked on the door three times. “Who is it?” “It’s me. I’ve brought a friend.” “Hai.”
The door swung open slowly and Light smiled, pulling the man inside into his embrace. “It’s been far too long, Ryuuzaki.”
He turned to Near and smirked. “So… Near. How does death feel?” The younger boy looked around at all the dead bodies around him and shivered. “Oh… what’s wrong, Near? Afraid to die? Death Note Alternate Ending
Just as planned.
"Well Near, looks like it's my--"
The door opened once more; this time slower than when Mikami had thrown it open in his haste to see his 'god'. Everyone stared in awe.
There in the doorway stood a tall man--or what would have been if he hadn't had a pronounced slouch. His raven hair was messy, and it seemed to fit him well. Under his dark eyes were bags, as if the man rarely slept, and hadn't for some time. Dressed in a simple quarter-sleeve white shirt and jeans, feet crammed into old beat up sneakers, he stood silently, surveying the room with his eyes.
As Raito looked around, he realised; No one was surprised but him

obsession - Light x L
I fake I am sleeping. I close my eyes for a second. We are on bed for ten minutes or more, I guess. We are attached to each other as we are since my doubt has born. Never be with someone else on bed, I never shared my sleeping time with anyone. In Wammy House, I was supposed to be sleeping with the other kids, but Watari knew my need to be lonely.
Through cold arms and shoulders my long and skinny fingers run. I feel his sweet pale skin, I taste him with my lips and I get confused about his temperature. He seems too cold, but his body is hot, it is like a fever. I don't care sharing this bed with him. He is small even he is as tall as me. He

LxLight- Unrequited
Light Yagami had never been in love. Sure, he had been on dates with countless girls, but he had never been truely fixated with one person. That was, until he began work on the Kira case...
Light glanced up from where he was lying and stared at the figure tapping away in front of the computer. He had his kness bent right to his chest and was eating a strawberry meringue, loudly.
"You've been analysing that imformation for 48 hours straight, L" Light piped up suddenly.
"I know that Light-kun," was the simple answer.
Light could not help but be fasinated with L. The way he sat, ate, walked, talked... He had been observing the boy for a few

I was working on doing a rewrite of DN anyways so I figured I'd do this one first, the last episode is the one I hate the most. The ending... it's just not what I wanted.
I've already written the one for 36 as well, although it is basically the same as the anime version. The only difference is I show more of Light's inner thoughts. The earlier episode rewrites will be a lot different though
I know some parts of this appear to be Light x Mikami but I really don't intend it that way, as you can see by the ending
